Casa Ernesto, an elegant property, where comfort and exclusivity go hand in hand, is situated in the Miramar area, one of the most glamorous and beautiful districts of Havana. The accommodation offers a spacious bedroom, with a private bathroom equipped with a hydro-massage shower, a double bed, an additional sofa bed, mini-bar, air conditioning, television, WIFI and a security safe.

Located in a sea front building which dates from 1957, at Casa Ernesto you will find tranquillity, whilst also having easy access to the many attractions of the Miramar district. The area is well known for its excellent restaurants – nearby you will find El Pescatore (Italian), La Carboncita (International), Casa Pilar (Spanish) and El Aljibe (Creole) – you can also explore the Karl Marx Theatre, the Dos Gardenias Tourist Complex, the Don Cangrejo nightclub and live music venue, the La Maqueta Museum of Havana, the Miramar Business Centre, the National Aquarium and various shopping centres, such as 5th & 42, La Copa, 3rd & 70, amongst others.

In the year 1925 the architect Claudio G. Mendez began constructing elegant mansions in these sea front parts of Miramar. These beautiful residences where inhabited by the upper echelons of Havana society, who established Miramar as a green, private and very exclusive neighbourhood. Testament to the prestigious reputation of the area was the construction of the La Via Havana, later known as the Avenida las Americas – a name adopted also by the avenue’s famous fountain – and later still as 5th Avenue. A project of extraordinary beauty and the main artery of the city, the avenue’s architectural qualities have led it to be identified as perhaps the most prominent example of the city’s bourgeois neo-colonial past. Today the majority of the area’s grand mansions have become embassies, educational centres, art galleries, cultural and tourism centres and shops.
